Mercure Newcastle George Washington Hotel Golf & Spa

i am a light sleeper so requested a quiet room ahead of my stay. My room was lovely with a separate seating area to the bedroom. Usually i struggle to sleep when working away but managed full undisturbed nights sleep. The room was perfect and everything I needed ahead of a very busy day. I ate in the restaurant on site which again was lovely. Due to them being busy i had to book but was not disappointed. Will definitely be using this hotel again when i am working up in Newcastle as its a perfect location for my needs. I'm just disappointing the traffic was so bad and i got there late as i would have liked to have gone to the gym and for a swim however the Jacuzzi bath in my room made up for it

Golf course in good condition, greens were excellent and ran true. Staff at pro shop friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size and clean. Leisure facilities are decent enough e.g. pool, sauna, gym etc although pool not the biggest. Food in the restaurant was good ( when it finally arrived ! ) Breakfast was excellent, can't complain. All round, Staff were friendly. Plenty of parking

The room was very comfortable. I loved being able to have a swim and a sauna. The food in the restaurant was good. The staff were so friendly and very good at their jobs.

Absolutely amazing hotel and surroundings

Room was nice as always, facilities in there were really good. The staff were excellent and very helpful.
